Please join us for the next training session on the new codes, funded by the Utah Office of Energy Development, Rocky Mountain Power, and Dominion Energy, presented by Brent Ursenbach, Ursenbach Code Consulting, LLC., and Mitch Richardsen, Building Science West.
Through action in the 2023 Legislative Session and with the signature of Governor Spencer Cox, the 2021 International Code Council group of code became effective July 1, 2023, with an exception for the IECC Residential Provisions and IRC Chapter 11, with the 2015 IECC Residential Provisions and 2015 IRC Chapter 11 Energy, as amended, remaining the current Residential Energy Code.
Effective July 1, 2024, the 2024 Legislature addressed the residential energy code in the recent session, adopting the 2021 IECC and 2021 IRC with numerous amendments.
