SUMMARY:IECC 2021 COMMERCIAL CODE CLASS
DESCRIPTION:This class will cover the significant changes to the Commercial Provisions of 2021 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code® (IECC®). We will examine changes to the Envelope\, Mechanical\, and Lighting provisions. A brief review of residential multifamily construction taller than 3 stories will also be included. This class will assist code officials\, plans examiners\, inspectors\, contractors\, design professionals\, and others involved in building energy efficiency by identifying specific changes to the code and explaining the reasoning behind these changes. \n\nLunch will be provided

DESCRIPTION:SLCC 10:30-1:30 Miller campus presented by Troy Preslar \nSince January of 2023\, ENERGY STAR new home certification has been the requirement for eligibility for the $2500 45L federal tax credit. Starting with homes that are certified (completed) after January 2025\, homes will need to be certified to ENERGY STAR version 3.2 for 45L eligibility. Come and learn about what will be required to certify a home to this new (to Utah) version of ENERGY STAR. We will go over ENERGY STAR certification in general and version 3.2 in greater detail \n\nTo attend\, RSVP via the registration link.\nLunch will be provided\, DOPL Credits will be offered.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the next training session on the new codes\, funded by the Utah Office of Energy Development\, Rocky Mountain Power\, and Dominion Energy\, presented by Brent Ursenbach\, Ursenbach Code Consulting\, LLC.\, and Mitch Richardsen\, Building Science West.\n\nThrough action in the 2023 Legislative Session and with the signature of Governor Spencer Cox\, the 2021 International Code Council group of code became effective July 1\, 2023\, with an exception for the IECC Residential Provisions and IRC Chapter 11\, with the 2015 IECC Residential Provisions and 2015 IRC Chapter 11 Energy\, as amended\, remaining the current Residential Energy Code.\n\nEffective July 1\, 2024\, the 2024 Legislature addressed the residential energy code in the recent session\, adopting the 2021 IECC and 2021 IRC with numerous amendments.\n\nTo attend\, RSVP via the registration link\nLunch will be provided\, DOPL Credits will be offered.
