Location: Courtyard Marriott – St. George: 185 S 1470 E St., Saint George, UT 84790 Presenter(s): Brent Ursenbach Description: ACCA/ANSI Manuals J, D and S – The Path to Comfort and Efficiency Occupant satisfaction is maximized when the heating and cooling system and equipment are the correct type and size, and the air distribution system is properly designed and installed. The (IRC) has identified Manual J – Residential Load Calculations, Manual D – Residential Duct Systems, and Manual S – Residential Equipment Selection as the only procedures recognized by the American National Standards Institute for residential HVAC system design. This class will review basic principles, calculation methods, and provide checklists, specifically developed for verifying the procedures of these Manuals have been followed. Learn why it’s important to perform an accurate load calculation, design a proper duct system and select the correct equipment. Questions and discussions will be welcome throughout the class.
