Description: Approximately 60% of the U.S. commercial building floor space is conditioned by Rooftop Units (RTUs). Equipping RTUs with Advanced Rooftop Controls (ARC) can lower utility and maintenance costs, provide remote monitoring and access, enhance indoor air quality, improve comfort and reduce noise. This course covers the basics of Advanced Rooftop Control systems for HVAC Professionals.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Describe packaged rooftop unit HVAC equipment
2. Identify the components of Advanced Rooftop Controls (ARC) and explain how they operate
3. Demonstrate ARC installation procedures and best practices
4. Use ARC utility incentives in the sales process
5. Compare product-specific differences between ARC systems by several manufacturers
